How to pre-order with a family members upgrade.

I'm handing down my iPhone to my dad who has an upgrade available through AT&T. How would I go about pre-ordering the 4s this Friday using his upgrade? Do I just pre-order under his AT&T account, then set it up using my account when I receive it? Lastly, will my unlimited plan change by doing this?

Your father will be forced to add an iPhone data plan once you give him yours but nothing else should change. Pre-order it using his upgrade and just stick on your current iPhone 4 SIM card into it when it arrives. That's it really.

Does my father use his existing SIM card and put it in the iPhone I give him?
