How to preorder Tmobile Family to iPhone Family

Can't seem to figure out how to pre-order the new iPhone 3GS for my wife and I. We are currently on a T-mobile familyplan and want to switch to AT&T familyplan and get two iPhone3GS. Will we have to go into the store...or can I at least pre-order one phone and then get the other when the stock catches up...

If I get say my iphone first then add her to the familyplan will she still get the intro pricing or do we have to go together at the same time?
