I've had an 8gig iPod Touch 2G since 2009, and about a year later, the audio jack got all wonky. Whenever I inserted my earbuds or headphones into the iPod, only one ear is able to hear sounds unless I play around with the cord and apply pressure to it to evenly distribute the sounds.
I'm planning on buying the new red 64 gig iPod Touch b/c I've been hearing rumors that the iPod Touch line will cease to exist in the future... might as well buy it now for the camera and apps. (I can't download anything on 2G; I'm missing that Open Gles thing)
And I'm wondering what precautions I should take to not let it happen again. Do I turn off the music before taking the earbuds out or -- ?
