How to prevent Microsoft Remote Desktop app from disconnecting when Mac sleeps?

I've been using the Mac App Store version of Microsoft's Remote Desktop for a few years now, and have generally had good luck with it.

Whenever my Mac sleeps (display set to turn off after 10 min), the RD session terminates and I'm asked to Reconnect. This is rather annoying!

I don't see any settings to prevent this. Is there something obvious that I can adjust?
