So I posted this thread on here not too long ago

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1059059/

I recently went to the apple store and they decided to fix/repair the palm rest area. It's basically a brand new plate now, but it's still susceptible to future cracking due to pressure from the top, bulging line on the top part of the macbook.

What do you guys recommend I should do to protect my macbook to prevent any future crackings? Are there any proven methods that work? Would buying something like a rectangular rubber piece and sticking it on the macbook work? And if it does work, where can I go to buy it?

I was told to hold the MacBook by it's spine (the hinge part) and not by the other end. And also closing the list gently which is common sense. But other than that nothing should happen it. I also wouldn't stack anything on top of it. Why you would so that, I don't know.
