I just got a new Macbook and it is sooooo much better then my old PC! The problem is that I have used outlook for years and need to break old habits. Is there a way in mail to see on the main screen my messages coming in plus a small preview of the message? In the past I may have chosen to not open a message by seeing what it consisted of?

Also, is there a way to create a read receipt response or mail delivered request so I know that the e-mail went through?

Thanks for your assistance!

Download GrowlMail (you may need to install normal Growl as well)

Apple's Mail does not support read receipt so you need to use different app for that, for example Thunderbird
