We have a Toshiba CS 650c multifunction printer that I need to print to from home. I've got access to the routers (we're small) and can change the config on the printer. Do I just need to open up a port on the router and forward the IP?

Or do I need to figure out some VPN solution? The printer stands on it's own, and isn't shared or connected to another computer. I can share it, but would prefer a solution that wouldn't make me do that as it would be dependent on that system.

Thanks for thoughts and suggestions (I'm using a rMBP w/ 10.8). Let me know if you need other info on the network or setup.
