Hi,

Is there a script (custom or otherwise) that allows mplayer to take screenshots of videos in OS X? I understand it has something to do with a 'config' file.

Before someone mentions it, let me just say that I am aware of Apple's shift + command + 3/4 (+ space if one is taking a window) screen capture options and of VLC's screen capture ability.

My dilemma is that I have a lot of movie files in wmv and though VLC does an excellent job of playing and taking screenshots of the wmv files (or any other movie file for that matter), scrubbing is another matter altogether. wmv video 'breaks up' after scrubbing is done in VLC and normal play will only resume after 2-3 seconds. Small matter yes, but try scrubbing while taking screen shots through a whole 2-hour feature and it gets a tad irksome.

Any help in this issue is much appreciated. Thanks again!
