I was wondering what the procedure is for people who want to publish audio content to iTunes. Also, how do you opt in for having DRM included in your tracks?

Yeah I know, DRM sucks... but the client wants it.

I have published to iTunes before using the 3rd party service TuneCore, which makes the process very easy, but they don't support the publication of DRM-enabled tracks.

Any help would be much appreciated.

DRM is dead...disappointing you're client is insisting on it

(sorry, nothing to add to where to get it...not much help there)

Is there a way to upload music to iTMS directly without using a service like TuneCore? What are they doing that makes them deserve the yearly payment?

'Smaller' publishers have been unable to request DRM in iTunes for ages. It's just a few huge labels who have insisted on it until very recently.

All iTunes music is now DRM free. You're not going to get your music on iTunes with DRM - full stop. Or 'period', if you're American.

OK, thank you for the info.
If DRM is dead then that's that. Disappointing for the client, but probably better for everyone on the whole.

In that case I have one other question.
Does anyone know if it's possible to add keywords to the metadata for tracks posted to iTunes? We're dealing with a large volume of spoken-word audio and would like for the topics to be easily searchable.

Thanks

What are they going to make a podcast or something?
