Hi,

Is there a way to purge the search cache of finder. Here is a situation:

I have folder named MyDocs, which contains 5 .docx files. Each of there files contains the word "bicycle" in its contents (not in its name, but within the document). So when I write bicycle in the search field of finder and search in current folder, as results I get the 5 documents.

Next, I open each of these documents and erase every single instance of the word bicycle. Now, if I again search for bicycle in finder, the 5 documents should not appear. However, in reality they do.

I suppose Finder caches search results for a period of time. However, I need to have the right results, so I want to purge this cache. If this is not possible, can you please tell me for how long I will get the wrong results? Thank you.
