1.1.4 had this neat app that could push my google calander stuff to my iphone, now 2.0 does not have it, is there a similiar one? Or will ther ebe...I picked it up off cydia.

I was also wondering how to add folders to the 2.0 desktop, so I can put all of my games in it?

Also, is there an app that lets me do ping/tracert etc type of commands?

I am running an unlocked/jailbroken 2.0 on a first generation iphone.

thanks :D

Assuming you're running OSX and iCal, you can use GSync. It's cheaper than SpanningSync and uses native Google API.

I am using windows, no MAC OS's here...is spanning sync in cydia or the app store by chance?

you can use www.nuevasync.com to sync your google calendar.
It works great, and only takes seconds for me to sync to my phone.

eh, not bad...but I liked the ease of having an app do it for me...just click sync on my iphone and it did its business copying the new dates/calendar stuff.

Why would you want to push a button, when nuevasync does it in realtime. It's basically using exchange in the backend hooking into the google calendar api.

I do not have a data plan, unless it will do it on wireless....

How about my folder question? Is it possible to make folders on the desktop to put icons in?

is there an iphone application that lets you snyc OTA?

I dont use outlook calendar, or anything....I barely dock my iphone too.

That is why I liked that OTA google cal syncer!

I guess I will have to wait for them to port it to 2.0

I use Google Calendar using Gsync on my Vista PC at home with outlook. Then I also have MobileME (Using it more for the contact/calendar sync than mail (but using push services for gmail)). I can edit stuff on my Vista PC, Google Calendar, MobleME web Calendar, or my iPhone and they are all synced.

I don't see why you don't like www.nuevasync.com ... its OTA, automatic and push enabled because it uses Microsoft ActiveSync. You set it up and forget .... no need to click anything.

I don't have a data plan, so I assume it would sync fine over the wireless (which I am typically at all day anyway)?

does it sync back and forth? If I add an event on the iphone, it will add to my google cal, and vice versa?

Their website doesn't really explain how it works very well. Without making a login at least. Can you explain how it works? Is there a program that you have to install on the phone and hit a sync button? Does it sync automatically? Can you sync just calendars and not contacts?

yes you can sync just calendars and/or contacts, theres settings for that. there's no software to setup, you just configure a MS exchange account that nuevasync makes in the iphone settings page. nuevasync works great. I'm using it for both my google contacts and calendar. couldn't be happier.

Can you set up multiple exchange accounts? I'm possibly going to set up my work email. I don't have my phone yet so I can't try this stuff out.

oooo, sounds very simple. I will have to try it out.

Yeah, there site didn't explain much of what they offered.
