How to put a superscript symbol through shortcut?

Ok, this is my first post, and it is a simple question.

How do you guys put a superscript symbol when doing a word processing.

I use iWork, and this function is under "format-font-baseline-superscript", I try to use the shortcut "control+command+plus", while it doesn't work.

The shortcut works properly for a subscript symbol.

Try control+command+shift+plus

As the plus buttons default key is actually = rather than +.
