i know how to do put a DMG to a flash drive with mac OS X via Restore Tab but how do i take a DMG and copy it to flash Media using Linux in the same effect as the Restore Tab on OS X?

You don't have access to a Mac to do this? What Linux distro do you have? Is there some cloning app (copying one volume to another volume 1:1) for Linux which works with HFS+? Can you format your USB flash memory thumb drive with HFS+ and GUID in Linux?

only other mac i have access too is my Compaq HackBook but the DMG files are on an external drive and Mac OS X wont read NTFS even with NTFS-3G installed tells me it is a unclean volume even tho i properly remove the drive when i use it
