How to put magazines in the newsstand on iphone4s?

I download some magazine/newspaper, like new york times, wsj..., using newsstand. But I can't put the app into the newsstand shelf. Does anyone know how to put the downloaded apps in newsstand?

The magazines themself have to be flagged for the newsstand by their creator. Apps are slowly getting updated, as far as I can tell the user cannot override this either way.
