How-to Quicker Network shares disconnect?

Oftenly I have open samba shares to talk to my various PC on my LAN, and of course these PC boxes, when left idling will go to sleep.

Finder takes up to 1 minute before it gives up looking for them and gives me the annoying beach ball. I want to reduce this to like 10 seconds. Is there a timeout value somewhere in there I can change?
