I see only an option to delete one at a time on the iphone. Now I'm new to Mac's as I just bought my MBP about a 1.5 months ago. I know when I would connect my iphone to my PC it would pop up as a external hard drive camera and I could just explore the contents and delete them on the computer easily.

How or can I do this on a Macbook Pro 13.3"?

What many people do in OS X is have the iPhone set to dump all its photos in iPhoto; iPhoto offers the simple option of deleting them all after copying the camera roll off. But if you don't want to do that, then try plugging the iPhone in and opening Image Capture, which I think is in your utilities folder (or maybe in Applications) -- it should have the option.
