I imported a bunch of ALAC files that I converted from FLACs (the Serious Sam 3 sound track, if it matters) and for some reason the track numbers didn't come along for the ride.

Is it possible to /easily/ change the track numbers to what they should be?

While I can (and am probably going to) do a "get info" and type in the number for each of the 40 files, that gets old after a while.

When I used Zune software to manage my library, I was able to directly edit track numbers by clicking on where the number would be in the browser window, and then cursor down the whole way, and edit everything quite rapidly.

Does a similar method exist?

Note, because of the newness and (relative) obscurity of the tracks, using something like musicbrain (or some other tagging "service") is not a desirable option.
