How to re-download a program from App Store

I downloaded a program from the App Store in February. Program demands registration #. Developer said just "re-download" it from App Store. How do i re-download a program from the App Store. iMac 27", Intel, with Mountain Lion. App store will not respond to "option" click method.

Just open App Store and click on Purchases at top. Everything you purchased should show up and allow you to download.

You have to delete it first, then the App Store will be able to reinstall it. Easiest way is to open LaunchPad, hold Option, and click the X in the corner of the app you want to delete.
