Hello, I know this topic is going to be a stretch, but I'd really like the help. Also, if an admin could please move this thread to the place it should be (having to do with iTunes?), I'd really appreciate it, and I'm sorry! 'New here.

So, I am using Windows 7, using iTunes 12.01.26. On my computer I have two hard drives, and I made a mistake with my symbolic links- to make it simple, most of my music is on my E drive, and there are links to these files on my C drive. Most programs, including iTunes, can refer to the links on the C Drive and obtain the file on the E drive. I did this so that after my last system restore, my playlist files would still be set up properly.

However, the side effect of this was that now when I try to upload music from iTunes to my iPhone, iTunes is uploading these link files rather than the file themselves, which gives me nullified music. It took me a long time to figure out this issue!

So here is my question: How can I go into these playlist XMLs (or what ever they are) and select all refferences to C: and change it to E:? I have a program I can use to replace text just fine, but where can I find this stuff? That way I can force the playlists easily to look to another drive all together, as the structure remains the same.

Thanks so much for looking at the thread, and if you need any more information, please ask! I know this is a mac forum and that I am using windows, but I figured info about the XMLs might be universal.
