I changed my Apple ID/iCloud password today. Since doing that my HomePods are half recognizing me, if that makes sense. Intercom won’t work. Most settings are grayed out. But I can’t find anywhere to sign in or out with my Apple ID. Anyone know of a solution or what I’m missing?

Dang. Not the end of the world I suppose. Thank you.
If it’s just the HomePods acting up and not some extravagant HomeKit setup that has to be redone, I’d say just delete them from HomeKit and iCloud and then re-add them. Should already be on the latest update (if you do the updates) so this should take inside of five minutes for each one. I’m not sure if there’s some kind of activation lock on them but I’m sure there’s a guide to follow for before sale or trade in if there is.

Well I've gone and made it worse. I followed the steps to remove it from my Home but now I can't get it to reconnect. It won't even factory reset.
Edit: All better(ish) now. Apple's instructions weren't perfect but thankfully MR's were.

HomePods are great when they work but it seems they’ve been nothing but a heap of issues for a lot. I had a HomePod Mini stuck in configuring for a couple hours the other day. I removed it from Home and iCloud and got it to connect after that.
Glad you got it mostly figured out. You say better(ish). What issues are you still having?

So finally got everything up and running. The last hiccup was that Apple’s instructions say to unplug it and plug it back in, then wait ten seconds before pressing and holding the top to reset it. The correct way is to plug it in and immediately press the top. I kinda wish the HomePods had a dedicated place in Settings and obviously some way of verifying the Apple ID info would be nice.
