How to reactivate 3GS?

Does anyone know how to reactivate old phone thru Att website without calling them? This link is no use. http://www.wireless.att.com/activate/
It only works for new, upgrade, or gophone but is there another link to activate old phone?
I think I may return my iPhone 4 and going back to trusty 3GS. Reception issue is horrible on mine, can't get data after a few seconds of holding it, I don't even need to grip it, just holding it normally dropped the bars significantly.

i think you have to go into the store to re-activate since its a diff. sim card plus you should get a refund thus re setting your 2 year update.

I bought it as no commit. I already check my eligibility, the date is the same as before so no 2yr contract was extended. I guess I'll just have to call them to reactivate. Quite a bummer because I REALLY like the retina display, everything looks gorgeous but reception issue is really bad.
