I recently had to have the logic board in my MBP replaced. When I got the computer back, Time Machine wasn't working. I looked around and found some websites discussing the issue and how to fix it. I followed the instructions and was still having some problems.
Here's my current issue. While I was trying to fix my problem, I stupidly went into the Time Machine Preferences and selected "Change Disk..." and reselected my backup drive. This made my computer think I was actually changing to a different drive, and now it wants to start all over. I can still see the backups if I right-click on Time Machine and select "Browse other Time Machine disks..." so the previous backups are all still there. But I can't figure out a way to reassociate the backups on the drive with Time Machine preferences.
I can't continue trying to get my computer and Time Machine to talk like they used to without starting all over until I get the previous backups re-associated with Time Machine.
Please help! Thanks.
