People who like to create content are usually screen casting at the same time they're recording themselves. Youtube tutorials etc.

I found ScreencastOmatic. But are there better solutions out there? Any MacOS native solutions with Quicktime?

Does screenflow do it too?

I find the screen record feature of QuickTime very useful for this. I record audio separately with an external recorder, and sometimes a view of me working on the computer, recorded with a camcorder. Then combine everything as desired to build the final product. Having at least two angles (screen capture, camcorder) not just adds a little variety, but also enables you to make seamless cuts more easily.

I've made some work tutorials using QuickTime. Downloading a mouse pointer highlight tool made them easier to follow.
