how to record off of a tv to a macbook pro osx

hey i need some advice on how to record from my tv(displaying xbox 360) to my macbook and what cables i will need for this,i am a gamer and im trying to make a new video for the first time on my mac, i have looked at the "dazzle" adaptor but this only works for windows so i have no idea what to do, can you guys help?
