How to record video clips from Hulu?

Wondering if someone could help me. I am looking to record some clips from Hulu on a MAC to make a youtube video montage. I have never done anything like this. First, it is legal? Also, I have NEVER done any video recording and am not too computer smart. Is there anyone out there that could tell me how to do this....basically walk me through all the steps? I am using a Mac.
