i was wondering how could i record things on youtube or movies on my computer. because i was just trying to make a trailer.

Well, you got a link there, above, hows about you download it and check it out? :p

is there a way to just record sections of the screen because it records the whole screen or is there a way to edit out everything else i dont want in imovie??

& others such as google & yahoo...

can i get an exact link because a lot came up on my search and is there a way to crop things out of what i record or is there a way to selectively select the screen and record?

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/tubetv.html
Record the video with tubetv, change it to .mp4, open imovie & import.
Imovie breaks down into clips, you can see the exact clip you want to keep.
Hope it helps.
Does anyone else have other shortcuts?
