iPod touch How to redeem Itune Gift Card and buy online apps?

Hi, someone is sending me Itune Gift Card. How to redeem this card to buy applications/songs? Is there some integration with Ipod Touch 3.0 2g, and online store?

The gift card amount can be redeemed either from the iTunes application on your iPod touch or from iTunes on a computer. To redeem on a mobile device, launch the iTunes app, where you would normally purchase music, then, tap the More button along the bottom. From there tap redeem, then enter in the code on the gift card. Alternatively launch iTunes on a computer, connect to the iTunes Store after signing in with your AppleID, then click the Redeem button under Quick Links on the right hand side. The code cannot be entered in the App Store on your mobile device. However, once redeemed in iTunes on either the computer or on the iPod touch, you can use the credited amount to purchase apps.
