Hello folks,

Recently we moved to USA and my fiancé bought an Air. Because we are students we are qualified for the back to school promotion and we got the $100 gift card.

Because my fiancé does not need any specific software I was the lucky one to have $100 to spend on apps! However my Apple ID is made to be used with my local's country app store. When I try to redeem the card it prompts me to the us store but again I cannot sign in to the us shop with my current apple id. Is there any way to bypass this? Thanks

Unfortunately, you will need to make a new Apple ID to use for the US store.

EDIT: Hold on, that has seemed to changed...
