I am in the process of reencoding my library from my Lossless DVDs.
Now I am not so sure on how to do this best. I want to keep all my playlists, play counts, ratings, etc. but whenever I just convert songs iTunes treats them as two different songs not asking me to replace them, etc.
I am not quite sure how to do it since I definitely don't want to re-rip my CDs that's why I created the Lossless DVDs.

Any ideas?

I have my library in 128kbps mostly ATM on my PB and a copy of my library in Lossless on DVDs. I would like to reencode them (the Lossless ones) to 256 or 320kbps AAC without losing the ratings, playcounts, etc. but I don't seem to find a way how...
