Hi. I purchased a physical copy of an apple care plan for the ipad and wondered where do i actiave/register the plan? In the instucations manual is says to visit the website apple.com/support/applecare/overview but that page no longer exists.

The link goes to the correct page on my device.

i dont understand. ive tried on my ipad, mac pro, iphone, in safari and firefox and still the same thing. can you post a screenshot so i can see what the page looks like?

Dont buy apple care, you will get refurbished device :)

That may or may not happen with mass produced products made in the millions sometimes. Certainly not always the case, especially when a product is rather young there is a higher likeness that service devices are standard devices provided to that specific channel.

You will get device which value is about 300 eur lower. So you will be robbed..
It comes with a brand new shell and a brand new battery.

Also, the rest of the components go through a more stringent QA process then brand new devices.

I can see getting a new replacement for say the first 30 day, but would you expect a new replacement 6 months later?

I should send brand new Iphone 11 Pro Max to service center due to battery overheating. They offer me device exchange but they did not told me that it will not be brand new. The case and battery is but other components? So, I got the device and my screen is significantly worse than iPhones in the stores. So I feel robbed and I would not send the previous device to service again because it looked like there was no issue. And now I have ****** device which is cheaper and harder to sell.

Make a complaint with Apple then. The expectation to always get a brand new device fresh from the factory is unrealistic.

Do not worry, I did :) your argument is maybe right but as a customer I should be informed about the device I get. Otherwise it is fraud. All sales people and staff thinks that they give customers brand new devices because nobody knows the truth.

You are quick on the drama part. Fraud, robbery etc. Just walk away and vote with your money.
You always have the option to ask. Handing out brand new replacements is not a given in many industries.

What sales knows is a guess for us. Not every sales person is a service person as well. In most cases sales and service are separate for a reason.

The warranty terms are clearly spelled out by Apple in the fine print you presumably didn't read. They are not doing anything which is not previously described in the warranty. https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/

There is nothing about sending a product for exchange. According to our law, seller has to repair the product or send new one. Because the repair service stated that there is a problem but can not identiffied which components are wrong, they have to exchange the product for brand new or return money.
I ask for returning my money and they refuse it. But Apple send me a device which did not want to provide me any info about history. Yes it could be brad new as Apple is not selling refurbished 11 Pro Max on website yet but it could be refurbished as well. It is a lottery. As I check the display and it is signifficantly dimmer than models on stores, so I could have refurbished product with used display (which do not have to be super retina xdr or can suffer for oled burning). And It means that Ihave changed 1250$ product for 900$ products. If I want to sell it,it will have lower value as well.
Apple is too clever to not specify if the device is brand new .. they rather say it is LIKE brand new.. but you sign document that you agree with changing a product where is not written what product exactly you have..
