I recently purchased a 16" MacBook Pro, and something that I've noticed is there's a very small, yet distinguishable, delay when tapping the trackpad to click. I never experienced this before on my previous MacBooks over the years, and I don't know how to make this action seamless and quicker, and it's affecting my productivity and workflow.

Within Catalina, I disabled the Scroll & Zoom options, along with Force Click. And because I prefer it, I do have Dragging enabled (without drag lock) in Accessibility. Screenshots attached to this post.

When I physically click the trackpad, the action is instantaneous with zero lag. But when I tap to click, there is a very small amount of lag before the click executes.

Is there anything else I can do to expedite the OS response for Tap to Click on the trackpad?

Thanks in advance.
