Suddenly I see an update in the mac app store, I don’t even have this app installed when I click to update it wont even let me do so it asks for another apple ID account. I went ahead and bought it under my apple ID for the update message to go away but still. Does anyone know how fix this? The screenshot below isn't my apple ID no idea who does it belong to? nobody uses my laptop but me.

Thanks

Never heard of it I had some apps I downloaded but no games at all...all my apps now from the app store. How can I fix this?

Thanks

Someone might of used your account but this is just a guess.
Are you sure you never got this app before?
Not in any of your folders?

Try spotlight to make sure and restart your Mac.

You probably got this from Home Sharing? i.e. someone you home share with purchased this game and they are the only one who can download the update. You, as the 'sharer', can not download the update.

That's my guess.

If this isn't the solution i would suggest you go to the Mac Applications and Mac App Store forum and post your question there.

try this

download the app and than the update should go though than delete the app

EDIT: nevermind re-read and you already tried this

did you buy this MBP used or refurbished?

might be their Apple ID

Pirated app on the computer that used a MAS_Receipt from a valid app to pass the validity check. Doesn't need to be the same app. App that is pirated is due for an update, but it checks back and see's the reciept for a different app and wants to update that instead. No amount of updating will cause it to go away, since it's not really updating the pirated app when update is run

THANKS!!!! I had an app called Enqueue removed what i was doing that all good now :D
