How to remove email counter on homescreen

Hiya,
This may seem an insignificant question but I was always told "if you don't ask you don't get to know" so here goes.........
I have an iPhone 6
I have NO emails in my account, but it's showing on my home screen in red, that I have 2,060 emails.
Can anyone tell me please how to get rid of it.
Also since the last update I no longer have the option in my email boxes to "delete all" emails in one go. They now have to be deleted one by one. WHY ????

Any help would be appreciated.
