uninstall anything there related to genieo, vsearch, or conduit.
3. Quit out of Safari completely. (also works for Chrome and Firefox.
Go to Preferences >Extensions> remove Omnibar.
4. check your own user NAME WITH FINDER: DISPLAY YOUR HIDDEN "Library" by holding-down the alt/option key while moving mouse over the "GO" drop menu Suddenly "library" becomes visible !
Go in the folders listed below and delete anything there dealing with genieo, vsearch, or conduit:
a. Application support
b. Internet plugin
c. Input methods
d. Launch agents
5. Next have them go to their hard drive’s library(this one is visible all the time) and look in the folders listed below and delete anything there dealing with genieo, vsearch, or conduit:
a. Application support
b. Internet plugin
c. Input methods
d. Launch agents
e. Launch daemons
6. Once you have done this, if there was something related to vsearch, then you must restart the computer or you will still have the same issues in Safari even if you reset it. Extra links:
