how to remove mail storage in iCloud to?

I have 3.5GB of 5GB used for my iCloud mail and it is eating up the 5GB of storage how can I remove the mail storage?

Take the saved email out of the IMAP in Mail and but before you do make some new saved in the email boxes for "On Your Mac" that you can move that into. This way your saving email 'On Your Mac' instead of iCloud.
