Hello. It looks like when a file is generated, one could find out the owner of the file by pressing command+I or using other means. Is there a way to remove or hide such personal information? Thanks.

What kind of file, and what kind of personal information?

For example, wav, jpeg and pdf files.
As for personal information, owner/creator of the file
For files such as .doc or .pdf files, you can control what author information is included with the file. As for owner/creator, that relates to the computer user, not necessarily a person. For example, Bob Jones may be the person's name, but if their user name is "jonesy", that is what you'll see as the owner/creator, not "Bob Jones". You can't remove the owner/creator information from a file.

What is the scenario that causes this to be a concern?

As you know, some organizations like to gather personal information. I want privacy.
