How to remove photos from iPhoto after putting them in folders.

I want to remove my photos from my iPhoto after I make a folder and put my photos into the folder. I only want to see the photos if I open the folder. Can this be done? Thanks.

What do you mean by "folder"? You aren't talking about an iPhoto "album", are you? If you are, then no, this can't be done.

If you're actually talking about a folder, then you just drag and drop it from iPhoto into the folder in the Finder. It copies. Then you delete it from iPhoto. It may even delete it automatically if you hold down the command key.
