HOW TO REMOVE SECOND HAND APPLE ID AND PASSWORD ON IPHONE 4

Please help me on that,i got an iPhone from a friend who got it inside a car and whenever i turn on the iPhone it ask me apple id and password yet i don't know because am not the owner in anyway,i there a tool or a way to flash it out to its new condition status.your help will be highly appreciated
