I've got a folder I dropped in my sidebar under Panther. When Tiger imported all the settings, it brought it along, but the link no longer works. It gives a message "The Volume for "Data" can no longer be found." I can't select it to choose remove and if I drag it to the trashcan it deletes it, but as soon as I restart Finder, it's back.

Does anyone have any idea where this list of sidebar shortcuts is kept so maybe I can manually edit the list and remove it?

Thanks.

That's weird. You might want to try deleting the Dock preferences (com.apple.dock.plist in User/Library/Prefs) and see if that changes things.

Fix

I know this is a very old thread, but I found it when I was trying to fix this for myself. Easy enough fix simply hold down 'command' while dragging the icon off the sidebar.
