How to rename a new folder

I would like to organize the Dock using folders.All of the folders are [untitled].I tried to rename it in Finder,but to no avail. I tried to name it when it was empty NG.
 
Click the folder (either in Desktop or Finder), press return and type in new name. Then press return.
