I swapped the 500GB HD for a 1TB one and when I went to put the glass cover display on, I found 3 chips on it! (I don't know how it happened)

Is there a way to buff or fill it?
I really don't want to buy another glass panel...

Thanks!

Wow. That is some serious chipping.

There is no way to "fix" glass. You will need to replace it if you find it to be a problem.

I can't find the glass pieces. It's a mystery why it's even chipped. Sigh...

Would sanding and leveling it down help? Or would it make it even worse...

Sanding and leveling risks breaking the glass. Glass is very brittle and chips very easily.

Is that the 20" or the 24" iMac?

You can get a replacement panel for $109.95 from this vendor.

That is a brand new Apple part.

You can also get a refurb panel from them for $49.99.

If it is the 20" iMac panel you're after search their site because they sell them too.

Alternatively you could just live with it. The chips are on the black edge and don't appear to affect your screen.

Thanks for the links :D I might have to buy a new one... (it's mainly because I'm selling this iMac and want it looking NICE)

;)
