How to "repair" the disk after encryption

Hi,

I encrypted my disk with Encryption and journaled before a fresh install on my iMac, and now the disk is "acting" up... I have put it in my external USB-thingie and formatted it now, without encryption.

Is this enough, or do I have to anything more to remove this encryption on the disk?

Got some problems installing OSX on it..
