how to reset 3gs and keep 3.1.1

Can anyone tell me how to reset my 3gs as i am seeling it.dont want to leave any important stuff on there,but would liketo keep it at the 3.1.1 ......Thanks

Unless you're already jailbroken and have your SHSH on file with Cydia, you can't. When you wipe it, it'll force you to upgrade to iOS4. Why do you want to keep it at 3.1.1? If it's an old bootroom you can jailbreak and unlock iOS4.

the people who want to buy it want it on the 3.1.1 its not j/b just stock.......is it safe to sale without erasing all content and settings......Thanks in advace

As long as you sign out of your iTunes account and clear your safari settings you should be fine. Just remember to remove your SIM!
