I updated my daughters ipod 4 to ios 5 and after i got thru it wouldnt let me check the box to set up as "new" or "set up from backup". So it set it up from a backup of my phone. So how can I set it up as a NEW ipod? Restore again...?

Doesn't she have her own apple ID in itunes?
You should have used that to do hers.
You'll probably have to start all the way over from scratch; ie. restore it to factory settings, then re-install under her apple ID in itunes.

when it came to the screen that lets you choose to set up as new or from backup, it wouldnt let me choose either one and it was checked "backup". It went straight on thru from there. I have done quite a few upgrades and downgrades but have never seen one do that.
