I have used my son's old Macbook for a friend and installed her harddisk in the Macbook. All worked well until my son saw that the Macbook is still in his list of devices in his iCloud. He deleted it from the list and as soon as the Macbook logged on to the internet it was bricked. My son probably should have said remove account of the device so it was no longer visible in "Find my Macbook".

How can my son undo the deletion of his Macbook and the properly delete it from the "find my macbook" list, so that the macbook can be used again?

Reinstall it & logout from Your sons Apple id. Or maybe reverse order…(?)

How can I reinstall the Macbook. It boots up with a ? My son no longer can see the Macbook in his iCloud as he deleted it.
In iCloud you can recover data within a months that was deleted by accident. Can you also recover a device from iCloud that was accidentally deleted?

OP:

Can you boot to INTERNET recovery?
Command-OPTION-R
at boot.

(you'll need your wifi password)

I was hoping that this whole bricking could be undone from my son's iCloud.

I can reinstall from USB drive and then will have to login to my son's Apple account. As DaPhox said above I will then need to logout properly from my son's Apple account and then login to the Apple account of my friend.

Thanks for your help

Apple could possibly resolve it, but it will cost €80. I have therefore ordered a new Bios chip from eBay for €15 and will solder it in. That should solve the issue for a affordable price :)
