I used to be able to restart the homepods from the Home app before the new update. Anyone else know how to restart it without having to unplug the homepod when they are unresponsive?

Okay nevermind….now it gives me the option. For the past 20 minutes it only said “Remove Homepod”

doing it again actually… 🥲

Same. HomePod says “having trouble connecting” went to restart it and option isn’t there.

Happened to me too. I had to click "Ungroup Accessories" and then "Create Stereo Pair", after that "Restart HomePod" appeared again. That's a really essential function as I need to restart them once or twice a day as they keep loosing one stereo side when playing radio streams in Music.

The same happens to me. I can’t control the volume. The volume bar goes down but the actual volume doesn’t move. I also lost sight of the HomePod mini I had in the kitchen which I had in the same room as the stereo pair that’s acting goofy. I’m hoping there’s an update coming as this didn’t happen before the software update.
