Hello !

I have an officially unlocked & jailbroken iPhone 4 running 5.0.1 that needs to be restored because it behaves in a weird way from time to time.

My concern is to be able to rejailbreak it after the restore.

Is this possible ? Even if an upgrade is unavoidable ?

The SHSHs for firmwares 5.0.1 & 5.1 are saved according to Cydia.

Thanks a lot

Ok,

Thanks for your answer !

So there is no way a backup/restore can be done without the firmware being upgraded ?

As stated above, if you can wait might as well save some time and just do 5.1.1. But if you really need to restore download the latest redsnow. There you can verify your shsh blobs, stitch them, and create custom firmware.
