i went into my terminal and i think i changed some things but dont exactly no what and i accedenyly saved them as defalt setting and now i need to change my settings to there original state without erasing my music or anything
 
As great as an Archive & Install is, it'll preserve the user settings. So, tell us which settings you've changed and we'll be able to help you more. :)

i already installed mac osx 3.0 and deleted every thing but i kept all my music on my ipod but the original proplem was i bought an ipod video and i cant put videos becuse every time i try to convert my videos for ipod play they say its an error (-50) and i waas so pissed i thought doing that would make it right.
 
I'm not really sure what's going on. Do you still have an issue after the reinstall? If so, you'll have to tell us more about your system and what you've just done. :)
