How to restore performance on Intel G1 X25m?

Hi.

I will be upgrading to a 2011 MBP and my wife will inherit my older MBP with Intel G1 X25m. How can I wipe/erase/whatever the drive during the transition so that she gets performance close to the original?

Ideally I'd stick to using Disk Utility, but I can bootcamp if necesary...
