So I have had my Ipad 2 for almost 5 months now and noticed some damage. When viewing a black screen I see a pixel that is blue as well as the lightbleed (which doesnt disturb me that much). I have also dropped my ipad once and the glass on the top left corner is sticking out a little. There are no other scratches or dents besides a small indentation right next to the spot where the glass is sticking out.

My question was which steps do I have to take to get it replaced?
Do I just walk into the Apple store and talk to an apple employee?
What are the chances of me getting it replaced?
Do you have to be persuasive when talking to the apple employee?
Do you get a refurbished one or a new one when replacing it?
What makes a refurbished ipad different from a new ipad? (what is replaced on the refurbished ipad, any major drawbacks etc...)

Can you ask for money back in return and buy a new one?
How often can you get it replaced?

I appreciate your help,
Raphael

Why should they replace it when you clearly damaged it

It is barely noticeable. My ipad slipped out of my case. You can only feel the raise in the glass and the dent is more of a scratch at the top. Otherwise the ipad is perfect. Both sides are protected by a film.

If it is perfect, then why do you want it replaced?

You're outside of return policy and have a physically damaged product. I'd just be happy it still works. You can always try but you should know that the whole reason return policies exist are not so you can rent a product till you dont like it or it's undergone wear and tear then get a new one.

there is a way to get it returned. msg me on aim or gtalk and i'll tell you how. username is sarmenhb
